Awan Town sits on the Multan Road corridor towards Thokar Niaz Baig, and it is one of the easiest of our target areas to reach us from. Awan Town and Sabzazar are neighbouring stations on the Orange Line, and by road it is a short run along the same corridor.
The area has a young working population — a lot of people employed in IT support, sales, logistics and increasingly in freelance work for clients abroad. Housing is affordable, which is exactly why so many people who work remotely live here, and exactly why so many of them are trying to hold client calls in a house full of people.
A dedicated desk in Sabzazar costs PKR 12,000 a month. For an Awan Town resident that is roughly the price of one commute-free ten-minute trip a day to a room that has fiber internet, backup power, air conditioning and no one asking you to move because they need the table.
